Kung Fu Dunk 周杰伦 大灌篮 英语影评
Here’s your first look at the Jay Chou sports/comedy/special effects extravaganza “Kung Fu Dunk” (aka “Slam Dunk”). It’s really just a teaser, with a quick 30-second look at Chou in a hoodie dunking. The film is based on the comics (or manga) by Takehiko Inoue and stars Taiwanese mega pop star Chou and Charlene Choi. The film revolves around an orphaned boy (played by Chou) who grows up in a kung fu university and becomes a talented basketball player, thanks to the miracles of modern CGI and what have you.
I would say this is a nice and entertaining show, but not award-winning quality though. for those basketball fans, slam dunk is what we wait to see. but guess what happen if slam dunk's combined with kungfu. this time, we can't stop laughing.
Total lack of plot development, and Jay Chou's acting has not improved one bit since his first big screen appearance, it is amazing how he maintain the same expression throughout the whole movie. Thankfully, Eric Tsang and other veterans are there to save this movie from becoming a total flop. 1 star awarded for their performance and another for the effort put into the visuals and comedy effects. That's it.
